OP - I'd say you murdered the thread when you said we couldn't say MGS4! It has a better storyline than any other game this year - by VERY far.

I'd say Gears and R2 come after - I love apocalyptic games.

They come after GTAIV and Valkyria Chronicles.  Thens comes Gears 2.  MGS4 has the best story of any game this year.
