i'm not sure racial profiling is a bad thing , it's a very utilitarian approach but then maybe a neccasery approach. if some members of racial group A are pretty much the only threat to individual x then why not asume that all of racial group A are potential threats , it's not very practical I admit but if individual X is of great importance then it may be a lesser of two evils ( the greater evil being allowing the death of the president) .
