Another game that is benefiting from sequel selling power. Unfortunately it will most likely only stand tall until the next shooter comes along and outdoes it by whatever margin warrants a revolutionary game this generation. Sounds fun, but length is always a concern... then again, most people aren't buying it for the campaign mode, online is what really sells these games.
These sales are not too far off from Halo3's launch, showing a likely overlap of userbases. I think most would agree this series is far more fresh than Halo anyway, but as the Halo fanbase starts to fray along the edges as people get tired of the redundancy I see this series being favored as the shooter of choice.
