Reject said: Nintendo adverts are just the best of the best, celebrities playing a game = Sales 360 just slap on the 360 logo at the end of every multi-plat game = Sales Sony make ridiculous adverts which show the actual game for 3 seconds = Retardation.
Then again the latest 360 adverts where they show a fugly person close up, rotates to the back of the head for a bigger scenery which is also retardation. Ooh just as I write this I see a Nintendo advert showing Girls Aloud playing Mario Kart.
Nintendo, you geniuses. |
There is nothing genius about Nintendo ads. They are catering to casual + non gamers, your mums, dads and sisters of this world.
There is no way an alpha male who is still unsure of what console to get will think 'hmmm Girls Aloud are playing GOW2 I think I might get me one of those'
|
In fact, the alpha male is thinking "Wow Cheryl Tweedy and Nadine Coyle are hot, and they're playing Gears of War 2!!!, i didn't know it was out" the ad worked because the women attracted his attention and then it reminded him that the game was out"... Of course, it would be cheaper to just hire two attractive women, no need for full celebrity jejeje...

Wouldn't call it fact. Seeing the game would remind him it was out. Guess our definition of alpha male is different. Personally I would find it a ridiculous sight though I can see it appealing to teenagers. Who shouldn't really be playing it. Still...that Cheryl...she'd get it.

I was making a joke, well more like a parody of those classic commercials, like when men buy more beer when they see women in bikini in their commercials, or the guy that buys Dead or Alive, Tomb Raider, etc., because of the girls in it, hell one friend bought Assasin's Creed because he loves Kristen Bell... I know that the real gamer checks the game, not the women in the commercial (he still sees the women, but is not a sale factor)...
And it's true, Cheryl'd get it...
