trestres said: Well, they have a lot of franchises to make games out of, so why can't release some of the story games? I know they thought the Wii wouldn't be that successful, so they released a lot on the first year, but when they saw the green bills they stopped caring. It's easy for them, even if they don't make games the Wii will keep on selling, and that's a fact. They got screwed by money, that's all I'm saying. And their policies are stupid most of the times. Not releasing games in America, when every game makes it to Japan, even Metroid, Battalion Wars, Cap Rainbow, Disaster, Fatal Frame 4 which all failed pretty badly and all would have sold more in America, like it's the case with almost any Nintendo game. Also, not announcing games until they are on the shelves is a bad idea, look what happened to most of the "surprise announcements" they all failed in a very sad manner. |
Sure, Nintendo doesn't release all games in Americas, but you didn't have to wait 6 months for Brawl or Fire Emblem, did you?
And it isn't like Nintendo stopped making games. They have small teams working on each game.
Team works on game, releases it in 2006. Uses at least 2 years to make a new game = 2009 ish release.
So the games that are out now, are made by teams who didn't create anything for the Wii's launch year.
