@ Comrade Tovya
What it will be is not relevant, because it's not more social now...
What do you actually miss so much?
Requiring all your internet enabled friends to pay extra for a Microsoft subscription to be able to play games together is IMO an anti-social approach. I got a free month of XBox Live gold, but it was not worth it to me, I wouldn't be pressured by Microsoft to subscribe, for something which IMO is nothing really special.
I got rid of Warhawk
It's hard, but IMO really amazing once you get the hang of it. Much unlike any other 3D shooter out there due to the Warhawks.
If I knew more people on the PSN and didn't constantly find myself playing alone on it, I'd probablly be a little more generous to it. But the fact of the matter is, all of my friends are on LIVE, and I've been playing with the same guys since the original XBOX.
Playstation Home will be a great place to meet similar minded people. For me it's the other way around, I know many more people with a PS3 (friends and family members).
