@ Comrade Tovya

The PSN, while free, is not very good.

For me the PSN is already vastly superior judging from my personal experiences with games like Resistance: Fall of Man, Motorstorm and Warhawk, all using dedicated servers. They are virtually lag free for me. At the end of the month I will be playing 30 vs 30 lag free squad battles and 8 player co-op with Resistance 2. Gears 1 only had 4 vs 4 battles and Gears 2 only 5 vs 5, probably with lag as was the case with Gears 1...

With regard to content, IMO nothing on XBox live really competes with games like WipeOut HD, Tekken 5: DC, Super Stardust HD, etc, etc.

XBOX Live is much more social than the PSN and is much more user friendly.

I don't think so and I think with Playstation Home the PS3 will be far more social, being able to play pool biljards, chess, bowling, etc with friends within Home, jumping into games like LittleBigPlanet from your private space or within public areas, like social game dedicated game areas. All while being realtime speech communication as well as text chat enabled. Being able to discuss the latest trailers (maybe live conference feeds and such) with friends and people who just happen to be there following similar interests, etc.

A) Sony needs to work on the PSN immediately... make it more 'bright' and social.

They have been working hard on Playstation Home, like we all know and it will be available for free.

If they add lots of great PSN content, this may actually drag down (PR) game attachment rates.

My Blu-Ray PS3 attachment rate is currently 9 games within 1 and a half years.
But if you include my PSN purchases it's 20 and if you would include my PS2 buys for the PS3 it's at 25.

It's not unlikely that if less good quality PSN content would have been available I would have bought a couple more Blu-Ray PS3 games instead.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
