As far as Others goes, I never said PS3's sales won't go up. I just highly doubt it will be able to keep up with PS2 in 2001 when looking at its numbers throughout the year. And even then, doing as well as PS2 in 2001 in Others isn't enough, considering it will also need to compensate for the losses in the Americas.

On a related note, how do you compare you 14 million estimation for PS3 in 2008 with the numbers Sony provides in their forecast. Even in the Q2 report they still expect to ship only 10 million PS3s in the fiscal year, which puts their shipment numbers at around 22.5 million in March 2009. Most likely for the end of 2008 this means Sony expects to ship around 20-21 million consoles, which means they can't sell more than aproximately 12 million PS3s in 2008.
