I have played a charisma 1 charecter, and a charisma 10 charecter. Tagging the Speech skill made up all the difference, that's about it.
Some notes:
Str 1 = Low carry weight, some reduced melee damage, but you can still cut things to pieces easily.
Per 1 = Nothing bad at all.
En 1 = Low hp, low hp gain per level
Cha 1 = People say meaner things to you briefly. Gee, that hurts.
INt 1 = Only 11 skill points per level (rather than 20 at 10)
Agi 1 = only 75 VATS points
Luck 1 = 1% chance of criticals. Also, only +1 to all skills (9/10 is +5, 9/10% crit)
I do say try playing the game, I just was one of those whiney bitches who loved the previous fallouts and wanted a 3d version of it. I didn't get that, but I also didn't get a shitty game. Just a mediocre one, but there is plenty of enjoyment to be had if you did not expect a Fallout experience, just a Fallout setting. High hopes lead to high disappointments.
Well, that and apparently using a lead pipe too much causes it to lose it's damage potential, and the only way to fix it is to de-assemble another lead pipe and put it's parts on it. May make sense for a Laser Pistol, but why are my Brass Knuckles losing their damage?
ANd your skills matter a lot. FPS it may appear, you still have a Dice roll to hit. If your small guns is 5% and you're shooting an ant, you're going to miss quite a lot, even with a red cursor. Don't count on your AWP skills to save you till your big guns is 100%.
See Ya George.
