CrazzyMan said: TWRoO, Crazzy, in NO WAY are both of those years the 2nd year for each console. i ALREADY answered to that in my first post:PS2 launched in March 2000. Was selling for 10 months. PS3 launched in November 2006. Was selling for 1,5 month. 10 months of 2000 close to 1 year? YES. 1,5 month of 2006 close to 1 year? NO. 12 months of 2007 close to 1 year? YES. Overall: 2000 PS2 = 2007 PS3 - 1st YEAR. 2001 PS2 = 2008 PS3 - 2nd YEAR. Anyway, i gave ANSWER to koffieboon QUESTION. @Crazzy: PS3 is already about 2M behind, what gives you the idea it won't fall back further compared to PS2 in 2001? And i ANSWERED YOU. So far, PS3 (NA+EU) sales in 2008 = PS2 (NA+EU) sales in 2001 - TRUE. And then i wrote about Japan. |
Sorry but if you are willing to use that as a basis of equal timescale then I can't help you, you are clinically crazzy =)
You seem unwilling to look at the huge difference in timescale when broken down regionally, yet perfectly able to dismiss Japan in order to (attempt to) prove the PS3 is equalling the PS2. You have classed 2000 as the 1st year of PS2, which it is, but in terms of sales it had no chance to sell well in 2000 as it was only in Japan for 7 of those 10 months.
I say good luck to you, I think the PS3 is having a great year without having to attempt to inflate it's status compared to PS2, which it is obviously not going to perform anything like however well you sugar coat it and downplay the PS2s success.
