Quite an interesting thread this. Here in the UK there is a lot of 360 presence. But I've read that across the channel, things are very different with Sony dominating the European heartland. Dunno why as up until now, the PS3 was clearly the inferior console with inferior third party ports and not as many good games. Of course this is still the case if current Metacritic scores are to go by though now the PS3 may start to catch up and overtake.
Thing is though the last 2 Playstation consoles had ok to rubbish launch titles but a year or so later and things really started to pick as did the sales. Won't be surprised at all if the PS3 started to overtake the 360 in worldwide sales in 2009. Than again I won't be surprised if it doesn't. Gotta give Microsoft credit for giving Sony a hard time. After all both the last two Playstations sold over 100m units each and that is a tough market to break into in your ultimate aim is first place.
Funny there is little mention of the Wii.
