i dont think MS have anything to lose by supporting the DS (or the Wii for that matter), There is very little market for casual games on the 360 and very much of one on the Wii/ds, if MS wanted to make some casual games (although i dread to think what they would make), its logical to make it for the DS. Theres also the logic that helping DS sales if harming PSP sales.

Im sure rollercoaster tycoon DS has a Microssoft games studio logo at the start anyway, so its not exactly a new thing.
