CrazzyMan said: TWRoO, *THE MAIN POINT of THIS THREAD - is to SEE how far/close will PS3 be in 2008 compared to PS2 with it`s 16 mln. consoles sold in 2001.
I decided to make a comparison between PS2 numbers of 2001 and PS3 numbers of 2008, because: 10 month of 2000 close to 1 year? YES. Overall: |
I can't deny PS3(2008) is doing well and comparable to PS2(2001) but I can deny that those are the second years
of the respective consoles.
The PS2 was only launched in Europe and America 1-2 months before 2001 started, wheras before 2008 started PS3 had been out for 9 months in Europe and 13 months in America.
The difference in dates gives the PS3 a massive advantage of time. So making it the main point of your thread is what is making this thread into the farce it is.
------
For instance: What if the dates of the launches were all moved back 3 months (all 6 launches for the 2 consoles) but that the big events of the year (Christmas etc) were also moved back 3 months.... meaning the year basically starts on April 1st like it does for tax.
That way your skewed logic about how only the FULL year with it released in all territories counts, would mean you would be forced to compare PS2 sales from April 2001 through to March 2002, with PS3 from March 2007 through April 2008.
Hell, I shall do that for you =)))
PS3 doesn't look so healthy now... about half the sales of PS2.
