No no, sorry to walk on your parade but this is the vision of a very enthusiastic fanboy again.
I'm not agains't the PS3, but SONY lost his supremacy for this generation, and even if they catch up (they will eventually thanks to the Blue-Ray), their business model is dead and ruinous.
PS3 is an ok machine, technically speaking, but costly to produce, long to develop and handicaped with a lack of software architecture scalability.
The opposition is miles away with futur-proof approach and revenue models.
Nintendo has a cheap console that sells extemely well and generated massive revenues with low production cost ... but they lack of a furture-proof online approach...But the inovation went so far, that it shoudln't be a problem for them.
Microsoft is better positonned with scalable software approach and has the strongest online offer and community. This is a fact, you can't beat Microsoft in software development... but the XBOX is a standard machine that may lack of catching appeal in hardware sales.
Anyhow, Nintendo generats massive cash with the WII while MS is doing pretty good with the XBOXLIVE. So wherever they end, they already won their bet for this generation and are money-ok for the future.
Sony on the other hand is severly affected, on the budget side and online side.. and are again saved by the format war...
I can hardly believe that the PS3 is a commercial/industrial/market success.. even when the install base will catch the 360 one. It will still generate less revenues... and less values for the company and the customers ...
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
