I didn't gloat in 2000 or 2004. I took it all in stride. And now, the GOP, especially the religious right are nearly committing hari-kari over the results. Cool - less votes against *That one* next time.

Seriously, it never cease to amaze me that the media didn't do their job in 2000 and let FOX News call the election - and now, when they are trying to keep it honest - even though it was late - folks want to call them out.

The GOP was losing and resorted to negative attacks and ads to win. And this is the same party pushing for an end to abortion, no gay rights and the end of Social Security and making sure health care is earned, not a right.

Thanks the Almighty it went to the Dems this time around.

A pass? Nah - they will call Obama out if he messes up. His camp - with the exception being Joe - was flawless and disciplined. If there's nada to report, there's nada to report. Fabricating news? That's FOX New's job.

Did you see this place last night?  I was genuinely amazed at how civil everyone was (minus the few loons who were banned saying Obama was a terrorist and was going to get assasinated).  I went out of the way to be civil myself.  The only reason mafoo has provoked the kind of responses he has is because he hasn't budged an inch from where he was before the election.

Its fine if you don't like a candidate.  That is what America is based on.  But pissing in the well is just a waste of time, especially if you come in with a chip on your shoulder before Obama has been in office for even one day.

And seriously, if someone is that dissatisfied with their country they can always pick up and leave.

 

Let me correct that. I didn't just mean since yesterday. I meant this past several months. I often (not always, or the majority of the time) saw less support for him and more wanting his opponents to lose, which is what is basically what this site is like at its worst.

And that bolded comment is what bush's supporters used to say, as another way to shut up critics. Just because it's your side doesn't magically make that bs into something valid.
