When that happens, what do you think the price of the competition will be? It is highly unlikely that the PS3 will make it to $200 until 2010 at best (I'm thinking they'll be lucky to have a $100 drop next year, and then another the year after). I'm guessing the 360 Core will be $99, entry price BR players for even less, and Wii's will be able to be purchased with spare change.
Moreover, there is a very good chance that the NextBox and Ninteno Yoo will be prepping for launch, so no one's going to much care how a last gen system is doing.
As I've said many times, if Sony pulls ahead of the 360 it will very likey be a SNES type scenario in which it occurs because the competition has moved on, and no one is paying attention any more.
