He got bribes from Oil guys...and for wanting to get elaborate building contracts for his state.  Not exactly that bad for people who get paid for Oil guys drilling in their state and well could use elaborate construction jobs...

I don't see how the $3,000+ check the Alaskians get is that much different from the stimulus check that most Americans got a couple months ago ... The most obvious difference between the two is that Alaska didn't go further into debt to pay for these checks.

The Stimulus checks are advances on taxes... people actually i believe pay those back... and even if they don't it's based on taxes paid...

While i believe anyone in Alaska gets the 3,000K regardles of if they even pay that in taxes.  Just live there for a year and you get 3,200 K.

Well more or less depending how the Alaskian Oil Business is going.
