What are these technical issues mentioned numerous times? 

Just finished my first playthrough and the only one I experienced was on Treasure Island where as I was digging up one of the treasures I was attacked and it subsequently forgot I had dug it up... so 9/10 treasures was all I could get.

By the way whats with that destructoid review 75!!??  but at the same time they say "most emotional" games of all time. odd.

Awesome ending and I felt genuinely sad when I left my sister for the last time near the end.

 

When such thing happens, deal with the enemies then stand at the digging spot and use the shovel from inventory.

Happened to me in the graveyard.
