^That's understandable colors in Symphonia are more vibrant and the game in general is much more upbeat. I agree load times can be long but usually I multi-task while I play so I don't really sit around and wait for the load.

How far into the story are you, there's a twist in the story that just shocked me. The ending of Abyss contains a lot of controversy as well. I remember when I finished there were huge debates about the ending.

I was annoyed by the little girl as well, but in most RPGs I don't pay attention to side casts much (this is why I didn't understand the Yuffie obsession in FF7). Most of my attention in Abyss was focused on Luke and Tear's development, which I felt was really well done.

As for the music I don't have much to say, in general when it comes to music in games, or in the car I actually don't listen, I just hear the music. (As a music major, when I listen to music I figure it out structurally, harmonically, and when I hear it's just background noise to me.) Only Mario Galaxy has really ever caught my ear to the music because it pushed the extra edge using a real orchestra.

Anywho from what I've read from your post above I think I can safely recommend you to pick up Tales of Vesperia or at least rent it. Vesperia's world from what I've played so far is extremely colorful and interactive, and the cast of characters is quite interesting. It'd also be nice if you would tell me your thoughts on Vesperia if you ever do try it out, so I can beat myself up or say hey I did a good deed for the month. =)
