One thing. The RPMs of the HDD may be slower than the DVD drive, but it can pick up a lot more data with the reader heads than the laser of an optical drive. So in one second, the HDD reads a lot more data than an optical drive.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
