I've owned a Stratocaster for years and played classical guitar years before that and I couldn't play even half of the songs in either game even if I were being paid to do so.
I know that both games are responsible for a lot of people making the decision to learn to play the drums, guitar or bass, but the reality is the games will always be far more accessible and easy to pick up than the real thing.
Same analogy for Call of Duty or any other realistic FPS. Not even in the same ballpark as the real, military experience, but unquestionably a hell of a lot more fun as well as being easy to quit once you've had your fill.
