I think he meant to say that the Democratic party was just united under an amazing new candidate? Palin doesn't have a chance in 2012. If she wins the nomination, then Obama will get about 70% of the popular vote. A lot of Republicans will blame her for McCain's loss, and they won't give her the nomination. That is my 2012 prediction.
