If a list of PC exclusives would need to be included to remove multi-platform titles from the list of exclusive games then I think that would be the most sensible course of action. For people who own multiple gaming systems looking for a list of exclusive content (myself included) a list of games that are truly exclusive is more useful and informative. I guess this is up to the OP though. |
I don't think you quite understand what I'm saying, but you're on the right track. My point to the OP was, when you do a direct comparison, you don't put exclusives in comparison to the real world, you put exclusives that are within the range of the comparison. The OP can go either way, which is drop PC games entirely, or put the PC under the microscope also, and he would be correct. Here's another example.
A person asks us on the forum whether he should get Resistance 2 or Gears of War 2. He wants a list of pros from each game to help make his decision. Do you list the features one has over the other, or do you only list the features that are also not present in COD4, Far Cry 2 and plenty of other games the OP never asked about? In my opinion, a direct comparison should stay within the field of the comparison always.
You also are under the impression that this list should cater to multiple console owners. This list shouldn't cater to anyone because you can't predict what's everyone's situation is coming into this thread. One person may own no consoles. Another may own a PS3 and PC. The next guy is simply a PC owner, etc. etc. You can't guess what is going to be most helpful, so in the end, try to help as many as you can. I think the OP has the right idea by adding in the shared PC releases but also labeling them as such. That way there is more info, and those not interested in the shared PC games can see which are which and can ignore them.
