I did not have to use a 360 to play Gears of War, Bioshock and Mass Effect. Multi-platform games are not exclusive games! I don't own a 360 and few of my friends do yet I get to enjoy the vast majority of its offerings, the PC has effectively eliminated my need for the 360. |
An arcade machine negates the need to call BlazBlue and Time Crisis 4 PS3 exclusives, but that doesn't make an arcade cabinet a console. I understand your point, but know that it isn't a matter of "PCs not counting" or "Microsoft owns Windows". It's a matter of doing a proper comparison between two consoles, or adding in a third entrant(PC). A comparison doesn't need to conform to outside stipulations even if they reflect the real world better. If it's a 360 vs. PS3 comparison, then compare them against eachother. If it's a 360 vs. PS3 vs. PC comparison, then compare all of them against eachother. This is how comparisons work all day long.
