If we are talking about a comparison across all platforms then exclusives may be more important to consider. In a vacuum like you have made, where we are only comparing the PS3 to the Xbox 360, the only games that should matter are the games that are on the one console and not the other. Case in point. Based on your current criteria, I can make the Wii look phenomanally better than the PS3? Why? Because it has almost nothing but exclusives and the PS3 has to share over 90% of it's releases with the 360 and PC. However, by doing so it discounts what makes the PS3 more attractive than a Wii(based on a hypothetical person's opinion of course), with games like Bioshock 2, Resident Evil 5, etc. that will not show up on the Wii. Those games should count if the only comparison is a Wii and a PS3. You have chosen to use a comparison where the only two consoles are the 360 and PS3, so because of that, you should highlight what makes each different, not what makes each different with the addition of a third party that is not being considered for comparison in this case.
