I'm pissed at Harmonix about Rockband Wii.

-game was released seven months late
-no online
-no DLC
-no city, venue, setlist World Tour selections
-no fans, stars, or unlockable World Tour merchandise
-no character creation
-did I mention the game was released seven months late?

This is unacceptable. When I read up on Rockband Wii before I bought it, I'd just thought there was no online or DLC. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME SUCKS. And there's no damn reason it should. The Wii is more than capable of EVERYTHING the PS3 and 360 versions are - GH:WT proves that. So why does Harmonix jerk off for seven months and release this mess? Pure laziness and disrespect for Wii owners.

So if they're going to be asses to me, I'm going to be an ass to them. And I will never buy a game of theirs again.

GH:WT for Wii has every single feature of the PS3 and 360 counterparts. Every feature. AND it includes a special Wii-centric mode that (obviously) can't be found on the other consoles. So, yeah. I am going to fully support the Guitar Hero games and Rockband will never get a cent from me again.

Since I already have GH3 for Wii, and the Wii version has extra content (plus I'm not a DLC person anyhow), I'll be buying the Wii version of GH:WT. If it weren't for the fact that I already have GH3Wii, then I'd probably be uncertain which console to get it for - 360 or Wii? Would I want to at least have DLC available, or have the (strange) Mii-mode? Dunno, but since I already have my GH3 guitar for Wii, I'm gonna stick with Wii.

PS: If anybody wants a slightly used Rockband for Wii - all instruments and everything included - I'm selling for cheap. Game's $140 new? I'll sell for $100.

Not true. The Wii version doesn't have the complete music creator.

Dude really didnt do any research, just knew that the Wii version of Rock Band was "gimped" in general terms, and so now will "strike back" at Harmonix by buying the inferior music game, GHWT. Rock Band 2 as far as I have seen is Feature complete across all platforms, while GHWT is not. Its Music Creator is vastly reduced on the Wii version.

So go ahead and get it based on incomplete information. It humors me.

Hey, let's be an ass and make insulting comments at people for no apparent reason whatsoever!

Because clearly, you're not able to pay attention to detail in the least. If I don't care about DLC in Rockband or Guitar Hero, then it's fairly obvious that I won't give a shit about the music creator, since that's effectively the same concept.

And I made it very clear that I am not mad about buying the inferior game. I'm mad that Harmonix didn't take Wii owners seriously. Yeah, I should have researched it. But you know what? I like my copy of Rock Band, as that game itself. If they didn't have all this other content in the versions that released seven months earlier, then I wouldn't give a shit about the fact that they're not in the Wii version. But part of a boycott includes not owning anything from that company - even if you got it before boycotting them. Or got it for free.

I'm not unhappy with the game itself - I'm unhappy with Harmonix's obvious insult to Wii owners. Again, pay a bit of attention, eh? If you're going to criticize somebody, at least make your criticism partially intelligent. Until you can do that, you're only going to make a fool of yourself.

Anyways, @outlawauron - I didn't know that. I recall specific statements saying the Wii would have every feature - fully - that the PS3/360 versions have. If that's the only thing it's lacking, though, then I really won't give a crap. As I said before, I'm not one to care about that stuff much. Besides, the Wii version has other stuff that, IMO, makes up for that. Thanks for letting me know about that, though.
