If i remember well there's an option to keep or remove the hud in photo mode, but it's totally ingame since it's 720p and u can clearly notice the 2x MSAA.
My only concern with MS2 graphics is some alpha coverage elements on some tracks, wich is related to the very own design of the game (vegetation and very far distance view) + sometimes the HDR is eating the MSAA, but some tracks looks really amazing and there s no question a big step forward compare to the first Motorstorm.
I love playing the Monster trucks, you feel so powerfull (!) i think it's the best new feature of this sequel.
