I'm an older gamer (31). Graphics arguments are nothing new. I remember when Final Fantasy IV came out (or, as it was then, II :) -- many of my friends refused to give it a shot, because the graphics weren't impressive (even then there were standards).
I remember the decision I made then, and it continues to be the decision I make today.
There are some kids who can watch black & white movies early in life, and some adults who never can. Usually, it's more about imagination than age.
