Just to clarify, I didn't say i disliked the Half-Life series, just that it is over-rated.  I tend to enjoy them.  Single-player great, multi-player a little disappointing.

well there is your whole point. the magic behind HL isn't the multiplayer..it never was and no sane person will ever state that. The single player, and then especially the story and physics, before all copies and stealers was incredible for that time
