I used to use a wireless bluetooth keyboard/mouse. One of the problems is whenever the batteries start to drop in voltage, you lose input. Not all, but enough to lose keystrokes. Not that I game competitively, but was still very annoying.

The input for wireless PC peripherals is a LOT more unreliable than any of the consoles in terms of responsiveness and handling dropped voltage. It has never been an issue with the Wii remote, 360 wireless or DS3 controller.

I'm sure I could buy better wireless input devices, but they've already been replaced with wired ones tailored for gaming.
