The difficulty with creation, I could stand. The entire time i was thinking "this is a learning experience, it will go smoother next time." I was fine with that...until it glitched up to the point where the only option was to destroy hours and hours worth of work.

when you make a single shape too complex the game will politely tell you that you are making it too complex.  You can then add a couple more objects to that shape before it all turns into smoky stuff.  By shape I mean one mass of attached objects.  my level is composed of three masses varying in complexity with the most complex mass (the one that turns into smoke if I add even a single object to it) being composed of about 250 pieces.  When you accidently glued everything together the shape probably became too complex without warning.

I hope that's true. I'll try ungluing some stuff later and see if it works. If that's the case though, that's retarded. It's not in the tutorials (I went through all of them), it's not in the instruction book, if this is true then they never actually said anything about that happening.

I don't know if you can go back by ungluing it or not.  I just used rewind because I noticed it right when it happened.  I do know that the cause was adding anything more to my mass as I did it three or four times.
