Actually, to the hardcore FPS player, wired components are necessary. There's a greater lag time induced by wireless components. I've actually seen it matter in games of UT and the like (y'know, super fast-paced games). It's nuts.
Although, I'm nowhere near good enough (like 99% of gamers out there) for it to matter significantly. Garcian Smith here is likely one of those 99%.
