I always thought those PC monitor cleaning kits worked well on scratched discs, or as well as anything could work. They consist of a solution I'm pretty sure is diluted rubbing alcohol and a dry cloth. You spray on the disc and wipe from the inside of the disc straight to the outside rings. You do not wipe in a circular motion on the discs.
