I have been saying this after the Wiimote was announced and before PS3 and Wii were released.
This won't be a battle of the casuals(as the hardcore continue it's elite attitude) though. Isntead it will be about making Killzone2, Gears of War more accessible to more played by bridging the controls. That way they will tap into more profitible games. To do this will mean that Sony and MS will start a casual division(calling the common gamer retarded) to attract a portion of the market to their machines.
But yeah no way. The pointer is one of the best of interfaces we have to date. It's more a question why are Sony and MS(especially) being so moronic and not doing something like this earlier.
Heres somethign REALY stupid. With the massive number of pointer games on the PC why aren't any of them on the Wii? Give me Fallout Wii, Baldursgate2, RTS. There are so many console gamers missing out on awesome games because of the old controller and no one is doing these old games on the Wii.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
