I was thinking about this when I was posting a message on a thread talking about "If Nintendo wins this gen.." I currently don't see Sony pulling the plug on the PS3 or PSP just for the simple fact, they aren't going to want to follow in the footsteps of Sega and they have the best hardware out for each market (handheld and console market)I mean with sales looking the way they look, is it possible, People say the PSP was a failure, but when you look at the market share Sony PSP took a chunk of the market from Nintendo worldwide (not in Japan). PS3 is slow starting off considering its price and its only 1 year in its lifetime. What do you guys think about it? Why all the Sony PS3 and PSP hate?? Did Sony do something wrong? Does everyone won't Sony to leave the console market all together?? Whats the problem?

Sony won't pull the plug. I won't say NEVER, but it is 99.9% never gonna happen

They are in fact still one of the biggest companies in the world and will ride this out until the end. I truly believe they could have terrible sales at gamecube levels this gen and it would still be okay in the long run. They will adapt.

To answer your other question...Did Sony Do something Wrong?

YES. You could start a whole topic on that by itself.

In the end, there will be a PS4, and a PSP2. And so on. Sony is one of the most suyccessful brand names in consumer history. Their reputation may not always be pristine, but they have a lot of history on their side of great business models. It was a bit fudged up this time around, and 1996-2005 Nintendoesque.

If the Wii didn't succeed as it has, you could be pretty sure, Nintendo would be out of the HOME hardware market, And you might have seen Mario and Zelda on the PS4. But now that they are creaming everything in sight, soI guess that won't happen either

I totally agree with you Thrillhouse, but what if the PS3 was at the price like the Xbox 360? This would of been the most competetive generations ever. But like I said price is whats holding Sony back on the PS3.
