Wii started stellar in Japan outpacing the PS2 in the same time frame and now Wii has slowed and it's about to be passed back by the PS2 in the same time frame.

Didn't the report says that Wii sales are down 40% in Japan for the first 6 months of the year ?

PS2 sales increased for three straight years after the console was released...
