Which is why you talk to the parents. When my parents found parents like those a lot of my friends parents wouldn't let them over that particular persons house. They definitly wouldn't of left me anywhere unsupervised unless they knew they protected everything.
The answer my parents had was to just have everyone over my house or my one friends house about 90% of the time and it worked out fine.
I really don't think people should have kids if they can't be home when their kid is home. The reasons don't matter even if it is work.
Though this is about one of my biggest pet peeves, as way too many parents are either to lazy or unwilling to parent their own children and instead keep wanting to rely more and more on the government and blame everybody else when their kids go wrong. If your kid watches a bad show, plays a bad game, listens to inappropriate music it's the parents fault. It's ALWAYS the parents fault, even if it's at another kids house, in a toystore anywhere, except basically school.
This would include if we had more strict rating systems or absoulutly no rating system at all. The ESRB could rate Manhunt 2 E for everyone and it would still be the parents fault for letting their kid play it in my opinion.
