I have it pre ordered at Gamehead, and I emailed them about when it will release (I also asked about Chinese Democracy). This is their response:-

The launch of Little Big Planet has been a very complex affair due to the delay enforced by Sony – the projected release date is the 7th of November, however we’re currently anticipating being able to dispatch long before this.
We have notification of stock en route to our warehouse and will be shipping this as soon as it is received. When confirmation of the exact time frame for this becomes available we’ll be directly in touch to let you know.
With regards to Chinese Democracy there is unfortunately no confirmable information available at this stage – as soon as a release date is announced we would expect it to be advertised absolutely everywhere, as it has been very eagerly awaited for a long time.
