At least the quality of PS3 games continues to go up. Every time one of these crap games is not released for the PS3 it makes the avarage score of PS3 games look better. This is my favorite part about the PS3. Developers know they can not release shit on it, because people expect better from the system. I would like all games on all platforms to become exclusive on day. Meaning all third party game are made to spec for each console. It is the most expensive route so it won't happen. It does however yeild the best games when a dev makes a game taylord to one system.

Sounds like the ol' Nintendo strategy.

QUALITY over QUANTITY.

Must.... resist... urge.. to. respond... to this... Sorry I can't, Thrillhouse have you seen the amount of crap that third parties have released and will be releasing on the Wii (and DS for that matter)? Ninjabread Man... I think that title says it all. Nintendo's first party stuff is usually great but when it comes to third parties it seems like Nintendo will allow anyone to release anything on their systems as long as it's not rated AO.

No, he agrees, Legend -- that's why he said old strategy. The N64 era was dominated almost entirely by quality games... well, I'd say at least 50/50, one of the best quality/crap ratios of any system ever, and Nintendo hemorraged marketshare anyway.

So, they have a new approach. That's what he's saying. The Wii definitely has a ton of crap on the way, which is really how the PS1 started: it drowned the N64 in sheer number of titles, due its cheap development and production values. Later on, the PS name had more great games, but it initially beat out Nintendo by having a few good games and a ton of crap.
