Downloadable games are not casual by default. No game is casual by default, gamers that are casual. When a game is aimed for casual audience, some just call it casual (that is not correct everytime). I included all the list of SCEA games for 2007 (from gamefaqs). If downloadable games are there I will include them.
Pursuit Force was a big mistake, I edited the list and forgot to take its name out.
If you think that Parappa the Rapper is aimed for hardcore gamers, then we are not even on the same page.
Also if they Eye of Jugment is hardcore so is the Wii balance board (not the Wii Fit game). Do not forget that I am talking about "aimed at" and not hardcore/casual in itself.
Jumping Flash is a mix of shooter and platform game. I did not know if I should include this game. Looking at the kiddy (yet good) visuals and easy gameplay I think that this game has a much bigger probability to be played by kids than the mature audience.
Ratchet series is kinda like Mario, Spyro, Sonic and Crash games. Hardcore and casual players like them. Even so it is not like those who bough Resistance and NGS are all excited about Ratchet and Clank next game.
You did not comment on the fact that 22/45 games/devices that SCEA are working on this years are not aimed at harcore players. You carefully picked up a list of games for Nintendo Wii and made it look like half of their games are for casual gamers. Actually I think that 2 are casual, 3 are aimed at the new expanded audience, 2 for core, 2 for eveyone and 1 for niche. If you want to go with the dicotomy casual and hardcore, I will use it on SCEA games too.
