The game was the first next-gen JRPG out there, but it was a mediocre PS2-quality JRPG with a few next-gen ideas behind it.
Combat was borked up, as you could auto-battle through most of the game. Many of the golems were overpowered, making gameplay unbalanced.
Backtracking was pretty mundate at points, and the story was rather generic, for the most part.
Don't get me wrong - An eM sequel would be great if.......It wasn't by From Software. I have no hope that Demon Soul nor Ninja Blade is going to be great. From Software takes great concepts, and underfunds them. They aren't a bad developer...Just not 'great'.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
