Why is it that when Syrian-Iraqi relations are improving (Talabani's remarks and installation of Syrian ambassador) and the number of foreign fighters entering Iraq is decreasing, the US decides to take matters into its own hands? As I said in the other thread for this topic, I find the timing of this operation suspicious.
