if you want to buy ps3 mainly for ps2 games(right now) then buy cheap ps2(for 200$ you will get console and huge amount of good used or new games). buy ps3 at the end of this generation or when it hit 200$ price tag - ps2 and its games will be enough for you til that time especially since you've got wii, x360 and psp. there's no point in buying 500$ console so you can play mostly last gen games that can be played on 100$ machine and 5-6 exclusive ps3 games.
