Techno
It's the only genre left that can create new sound for other genres to copy. Since the mid-90's all the music innovation came from Techno (Electro, Trance etc.)
btw.. Rap died in 1995 after Gangsta's Paradise. Pop music and Rock merged as did Pop and Hip hop music.
Electronic music 'won' all of the new markets in Eastern Europe, Asia and is reaping ££/€€ billions. The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and England are the places to be right now.
