sony does upper price tag products... so they are the first ones who'll get hit by lower demand for electronics... and even before as people shift to cheaper substitutes...
Closing factoruies is not a sign of the company being in trouble, but of them realizing that there will be a shift in demand and their market segment shrinking.
Similarly, you'll see low price tech taking the center stage in the comming months.
