Quoted out of context. He was saying that he could make a game like Halo (in reference to a game everyone wants), but he prefers to make games that people don't yet know they want.
Edit: On topic, I hate idiots like that who've only played video games since last gen and assume that Halo is the God of everything gaming. I met someone who seriously thought Halo was the first FPS ever and the rest were posers (that was his argument for why Halo multiplayer was better than GoldenEye 007 multi). I met yet another person who thought Samus stole the helmet idea from Master Chief. What ever will we do against such genius?
