So we agree on government provided education, great.

Manus-- to a ceratain extent.  If gov't intrudes too much and pushes certain material, impedes on state and local gov't education regulations or goals, or mandates this that and the other thing I am against it.  I am for smaller gov't but in this case it illustrates what can be accomplished with a gov't standard that is followed.
