Hmm yes good point. But its doubtful as some have put it that week 9 will see better sales than week 8.

I agree with this.

But doesn't Nintendo always deliver to the U.S every 2nd week? If so, can't we find out which week that is?

If it is the 8th week, that is going to be huge, and probably bigger than 9th, if it is the 9th, 8th is going to be smaller, and 9th bigger.

I don't think it will follow the same pattern at Christmas.... what if one of the off-weeks coincides with Black Friday week?

They will ship them probably mid-week for BF week, but for that last weekend I suspect a huge number will be shipped in time for Friday or Saturday, so it depends on whether that huge number will mostly sell on the Saturday (inc in week 8) or on the Sunday and the days following it (week 9)

As you can see from the graph I posted, week 8 sales should exceed week 9 slightly for the lower, well supplied consoles, but i don't know what the situation was with PS2 that year, and whether the Wii will reflect it's path.

Oh it's never the same during the holidays.  Nintendo may do 3 to 4 shipments a week during the holidays.  No way can they deliver a million units in one shipping haha.

And Week 8 should be stronger than Week 9 because Week 8 is going to have a full 7 days of powerhouse selling while although a few of the days in Week 9 might be even stronger it'll still have a few days that aren't as strong including one that won't even have sales, Christmas Day outside of Japan of course.
