Can we declare Crash Bandicoot dead?

Until Sonic is completely forsaken, no other mascot should ever have to be. All a game needs is the right developer. Crash is having tough times now, like Sonic has been (longer) and Lara Croft WAS (Tomb Raider is getting better).
