Would it still open and close?
- Try multiple CD's and DVD's and see if they all have the same issue
- Go to My Computer and make sure it at least recognizes you have a CD drive
- Have you changed anything recently? Updated? How long has this been happening?
- Have you recently kicked or moved your computer?
- Does your drive show up in device manager?
